Toslink and Miniplug Fiber Optic Cables, Splitters, Adapters and Extenders
Core Sound is pleased to offer a very wide range of fiber optic cables using Toslink and Miniplug connectors, and accessories including Toslink cable extenders and Toslink-to-Miniplug adapters.
There are three common connector/media formats for digital audio interfaces in consumer electronic products: Toslink (a square plug) and 3.5mm Miniplug (a round plug) for most transfers over fiber optic cable, and RCA for transfers over coaxial cable. The RCA cables are standard 75 Ohm video cables and are widely available. The Toslink and Miniplug cables however, have been hard to find.
Core Sound is pleased to offer Toslink-to-Toslink cables in five lengths: 1-meter, 3-meter, 5-meter, 10-meter and 14-meters (39-inches, 10-foot, 16-feet/3inches, 33-feet and 45-feet). We also offer custom lengths up to 14-meters.
We offer Miniplug-to-Miniplug cables and Toslink-to-Miniplug cables in 3-foot, 6-foot and 10-foot lengths. If you need longer lengths, please order Toslink-to-Toslink cables and add one or two Toslink-to-Miniplug adapters as necessary.
Our Toslink plugs and fiber optic cables are manufactured by a well known US manufacturer in their Japan facility. We assemble most of our miniplug cables here in the US.
We also offer fiber optic cables in custom lengths (up to 14 meters) at low cost -- please contact us!
Toslink Accessories
In addition to cables, we are pleased to offer a few very useful Toslink accessories:
An extender and an adapter to convert Toslink to Miniplug. The extender ("barrel") lets you connect two Toslink cables. It is a short cylinder (.75 inch in length and .625 inch in diameter) that has a female Toslink jack at each end. The extender does reduce the brightness of the optical signal somewhat so be careful to keep cable runs as short as possible. The Toslink-to-Miniplug adapter converts your Toslink cable's plug into the Miniplug commonly use in portable MiniDisc recorders and other consumer products. It snaps on to any Toslink plug.
Toslink Ordering
We are pleased to accept prders via PayPal (see below) phone, email, mail or FAX.
One-meter cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $9. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $15. Cables with two Miniplugs are $25.
2.5-meter cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $15. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $20. Cables with two miniplugs are $25.
Five-meter cables with Toslink plugs on both ends are $20. Cables with one Toslink and one Miniplug are $25. Cables with two Miniplugs are $30.
For 10-meter cables, add $10 to the cost of the 5-meter cables. For 14-meter cables add $20.
The Toslink extender is $7. The Toslink-to-Miniplug adapter is $5.
Payment
Payment is via any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), a PayPal account, personal checks, money order (available from the Post Office or bank), traveler's checks, wired funds, cash or certified check, US funds only. Please allow some additional time for personal checks to clear the bank prior to shipment. COD shipments are available in some situations -- contact us for details. You may wire funds directly to our bank account -- please contact us for details.
PayPal handles our credit card processing. You need not have a PayPal account to pay with a credit card.
We also accept purchase orders from pre-qualified US universities, corporations, and state and federal governments.

Customs Taxes
If you are ordering from outside the United States or Canada, your government may (or may not) charge you import taxes. Those taxes are your responsibility. If you are not certain, please ask your local Customs authority for more information.
VAT and Sales Taxes:
Core Sound LLC collects only State of New Jersey sales tax. We do not collect UK/Europe VAT taxes or any other taxes
Toslink Trial Offer
To give you a chance to try our cables, Core Sound provides a 30 day trial period. All cables returned within 30 days of shipment qualify for a full refund (minus shipping and handling charges) provided that they are returned in as-new condition.
Toslink Limited Warranty
Core Sound fiber optic cables are sold with a 90 day limited parts and labor warranty. If they require repair during that period, ship them back to Core Sound postage paid with a description of the problem. We will repair or replace them and ship back to you at no charge. No consequential damages are covered by this warranty.
